I began my photographic career as an apprentice for Minor White. Minor exposed me to both the technical and spiritual reality of the printed image. In my travels with Minor, we looked for the subtle in the mundane, the invisible in the visible, and, most importantly, the presence in everything. This search for the spiritual led me in many directions: ZaZen, Gurdjieff, Ouspensky, Ichazo, Spain, Mexico, Canada, the Middle East, and my own back yard. Art is as close as I get to what I hope we are.
I work with 35mm, a 4/5 view camera, and a Nikon D3. The negatives produced by the film cameras are downloaded in order to produce Gicllée prints. All prints are printed to the highest archival standards.
