Olivia Heussler

[ DEUTSCH] Olivia Heussler was born in Zürich, Switzerland in 1957. Based in Zürich she started 1978 travelling the world for numerous publications and works today on long term projects using different kinds of media frames, such as outdoor campaigns on public billboards or film. She has exhibited widely in Germany and Switzerland, as well as in London, Paris, New York, Jerusalem and Managua. Her photographs are in the permanent collections of the Swiss Foundation for Photography, Winterthur, Musée de l'Elysée, Lausanne, Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris and several other major European collections. Her work appeared in many books, such as Out of Jerusalem (Benteli 1993), Schichtwechsel (Rotpunktverlag 1996), Gotthard: Das Hindernis verbindet (Werdverlag 2003), The Dream of Solentiname (Edition Patrick Frey 2009), Zürich, Sommer 1980 (Edition Patrick Frey 2010), and El sueño de Solentiname (IHNCA-UCA 2010).
