Sea Beach — Ismail Ferdous.. Published by Imageless.
This is a dreamy meditation on place, on childhood memories, and at the same time a social and political statement about spaces that connect and equalise us. Sea Beach focuses on Cox’s Bazar (in south-east Bangladesh) where people from across the districts, dialects, religions, and social strata mingle at the water’s edge. Simultaneously leaning into and away from his photojournalistic background, Ferdous’ book creates a diorama that is otherworldly, sparse and layered.
