Anchor in the Landscape — Adam Broomberg & Rafael Gonzalez.   Published by MACK.

Broomberg and Gonzalez’s portraits of ancient olive trees in the Occupied Territories of Palestine offer a poignant reminder of the resilience of the Palestinian people amidst the ongoing occupation and unabated devastation of the Gaza war. Symbolically charged, the scarred and gnarled trees reach upwards, rest amidst the rocks and against walls, and cling to the desert landscape below, while the GPS coordinates that title each image remind us that each tree is rooted in a precise spot and has likely been there for hundreds of years.
