The Unseen Truth — Sarah Lewis. Published by Harvard University Press.
The always brilliant Sarah Lewis deconstructs the fictions of our racial regime, exposing the ways sight and vision blind us and perpetuate oppression. Like the rest of her work with the Vision & Justice initiative, this book is required reading for anyone concerned with history, politics, and the efficacy of the image in these fraught times.
