The Uncanny — Léonard Pongo.   Published by GOST Books.

In The Uncanny, Leonard Pongo returns to the country of his heritage, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and photographs the daily life, the culture, the nature, and the family events. Part stream-of-consciousness, it is also an attempt to understand the country, his place in it, amidst all the complexities of family, conflict and belonging.

Colin Pantall is a writer, lecturer and photographer based in Bath in the UK. He writes for a range of publications and teaches on the Falmouth Photography MA course. His photography focusses on domestic environments and family, projects where the conflicting narratives of family, environmental and political histories collide.
