As a child Josef Koudelka made competitive wooden airplanes and took photographs with a bakite camera. He then became an aeronautical engineer, but subsequently began six decades making carefully constructed and yet poetic photographs. Melissa Harris worked almost a decade conducting hundreds of interviews with Koudelka and others to craft this engaging, illustrated biography.
Anne Tucker served as founding curator of Museum of Fine Arts Houston photography department from 1976 to 2015. She curated over 40 exhibitions, most with catalogs and built a collection of over 30,000 photographs which were made on all seven continents.
