Deanna Templeton’s Favorite Book from 2021

Sasuke by Masahisa Fukase.   Published by Atelier EXB.

This book is just wonderful. You might think it's just about cats but it's so much more. It's playful, yet quiet and very, very thoughtful. There is such a strong connection, a devotion, to what and how he photographed his cats (2 cats, 1 kitten) that I felt like I was getting to know the photographer through his photos. I just think the images in this book are so strong, and the book itself is like a work of art.
