Just arrived at our warehouse, signed copies of Twirl / Run by Jeff Mermelstein, published by powerHouse in New York. Twirl / Run presents two distinct sets of Mermelstein's iconic New York street photographs: women twirling their hair and people sprinting down the crowded streets. Printed three to a page vertically, the images crowd each-other, echoing the streets they present — in this way, each act becomes universal, a shared twirl or sprint — the city expressing it's anxiety, passively at first, then with great force. Signed copies now in stock.
Arriving soon, copies of Rose, c'est Paris, a new Limited Edition from Bettina Rheims and Serge Bramly, published by Taschen. The once-married Rheims and Bramly have an illustrious collaborative history, from the seminal Chambre Close, to the controversial I.N.R.I, the pair have crafted some of the most engagingly narrative photographic books of the last 20 years. Enter Rose, c'est Paris, by far their most ambitious project to date. An oversize, 332 page publication, packaged in a suitcase with companion feature-length film on DVD, the two media combine to tell the story of "B", searching for the abducted "R", a masterfully beautiful, complex and dreamlike detective story. Copies arriving soon, now available for preorder.
Please note that adding a book to your shopping cart does not reserve a copy; orders must be finalized to appear in our system. However, due to the extremely limited number of some books, we cannot guarantee a copy for every finalized order.
