More copies (reprinted) of the new edition of Martin Parr's classic monograph The Last Resort are forthcoming from publisher Dewi Lewis. Originally published by Promenade Press in 1986, The Last Resort was Parr's third monograph, but his first in color. Photographed in the English holiday resort town of New Brighton, Parr's depictions of the vacationing middle-class — at times grotesque, often surreal, always humorous — are classic examples of his stunning composition and use of color which have become so influential. This new edition keeps the original images and sequence, but with a new text commissioned from Gerry Badger. Copies now available for preorder.
