Just arrived at our warehouse, Flying Clipper Logbook by Steffan Wettre, Jonas Wettre & Gunnar Stenström. In 1959, Steffan Wettre and Gunnar Stenström worked as sailors on the Flying Clipper, a three mast sailing ship making voyages from Sweden to the Mediterranean. Fascinated by the documentation of his father Stephan's past, Jonas Wettre set about choreographing this exquisite cross-media examination of the pivotal journey. Selected as one of the Best Books of 2009 by Marcus Schaden, copies are now in stock.
Also arriving next week at our warehouse, Memory Traces by Dutch photographer Cary Markerink, published by Ideas on Paper in Amsterdam. Presented in a printed cardboard box, Memory Traces includes two smaller associated booklets, Dark Star & Höffding Step. The main book presents large-format landscape photographs from Sarajevo, Hiroshima & Nagasaki, Berlin, Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Ronneburg, Bikini Atoll, My Lai & Khe San and Chernobyl along with a multitude of texts, including travelogues and a short story. Dark Star is comprised of photographs found in a home in Chernobyl. Copies now in stock.
