Also just arrived at our warehouse, Nicholas Nixon's Live, Love, Look, Last, just published by Steidl in Germany. Here Nixon grapples with themes similar to his best known series The Brown Sisters, but with a radically different scope. Originally conceived as 4 separate bodies of work, Nixon eventually merged intimate family portraits, couples, chaotic Boston cityscapes and critically ill patients into this masterwork on interpersonal relationships, the world at large and the universal context of birth and death. All presented with the exquisite intimacy, composition and tonal sensibility which have defined Nixon's career. Copies now in stock and available for order.
