Zine Collection
Zine Collection No. 1 by Claire Martin brings to light the Downtown East Side of Vancouver, Canada. With a staggering AIDS epidemic and with 1/3 of the population prone to injecting drugs, the DTES has become a microcosm of social disintegration. Here Martin explores the people and the streets of the area by socializing with sex workers and drug users while showing forthright the devastating effects these activities have on a large community. Copies are now in stock and available for order.

photographs 2001-2009
"The images from this series established Rosenthal as an accomplished photographer making thoughtful and memorable images in a distinctive style. Deliberately out of focus, they are glimpses from a hazy black & white world of a distant memory — or perhaps a dream. The basic imagery is always simple, making them more familiar — at times eerily so — but belie an emotional complexity. Rosenthal's images feel at once personal and universal, as if tapping into our collective memories of childhood, our family photo albums, our visual cinematic archive." — excerpt from an interview with Ken Rosenthal on photo-eye Blog. Signed copies of Photographs 2001-2009 are now in stock and available for order. The limited edition is arriving early next week and is available for preorder.

Dutch photographer Machiel Botman's One Tree brings together a collection of dark and mysterious photographs. The artist's visual narrative is unfaltering in its aesthetic beauty. Rich blacks, printed with stunning precision create an ambience that is at first haunting but also reveals a striking sense of hope. Published by Nazraeli, copies are now in stock and available for order.

Published by Super Labo, 134 Ways To Forget by Jim Goldberg is a fun object displaying personal photographs of humor and coincidence. This book is designed to be taken apart and reassembled into a double-sided poster, one side containing Goldberg's own snapshots, the other a list of peculiar text describing how to forget. Unbound and accompanied by a bellyband, this book displays innovative packaging alongside a unique artistic perspective. Copies are now in stock and available for order.

Sergey Chilikov's Selected Works 1978- is a comprehensive view of the work of the important Russian photographer. Fabricated visual narratives and set-up scenes weave together to form a complex collection of contradicting scenarios and artificial characters. The strange situations Chilikov brings together reveal subjects who are entirely self-consumed, often ignoring the presence of other curiosities surrounding them. Copies are now in stock and available for order.

Holy Works by Andres Serrano presents a cinematic approach to reinventing religious iconography. Focusing on Christian accounts of the life and death of Jesus, Serrano has created a series of images that reinforces the importance of not only his personally held beliefs regarding this imagery, but also the metaphorical importance of this timeless story. Copies are now in stock and available for order.

Kurt Tong's In Case It Rains in Heaven showcases an eccentric collection of items made from Joss paper, a traditional material often burned in Chinese culture upon the death of a close relative. Sacrificed so that those who have past can enjoy themselves in the afterlife, these items show a society with increasingly westernized ideas of material value, indicating a cultural shift. Signed copies are now in stock and available for order.

Beth Lilly's The Oracle @ Wifi explores the artist's collaborative project of answering phone calls from strangers who seek a 'reading' from the photographer. Lilly then proceeds to take 3 photographs from the location she was called, later emailing the images to the willing participant as a conclusive 'reading'. In the book, the three photographs are paired with the question from the caller, and are open for the reader's interpretation. Signed copies are now in stock and available for order.

Candace Plummer Gaudiani's Between Destinations offers photographs taken from passing cars and trains through the lower 48 states. The images question the viewer's sense of belonging, longing and estrangement and capture a timeless quality of the American Landscape. Signed copies are now in stock and available for order.

Damion Berger's In the Deep End evokes childhood memories with its thoughtful and often times nostalgic narrative. Taking a series of stunning underwater photographs, Berger explores public pools from a unique perspective, viewing life in the pool from beneath the surface. Signed copies are now in stock and available for order.

Published by Nazraeli, Sea Etchings by Nicola Dill is an oversized object that is lusciously printed. Photographing the changing surf and grasses on the beach, Dill has created a beautiful series dedicated to patience and time. Signed copies are now in stock and available for order.

* Please note War Primer 2 is now out-of-print and we have only 2 copies left. Published by Mack, this brilliant limited edition is sure to be highly collectable.
